Thomas Harlan Miller
Mr. Miller is a litigator, concentrating his practice in defense of workers’ compensation claims for insurance companies and self-insureds, including state and federal black lung claims. In addition, his practice involves general insurance defense litigation, including auto, premises, product liability and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Miller appears regularly before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and handles appellate matters before the Virginia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia. He has tried cases in state and federal court throughout southwestern Virginia. He has lectured on topics covering workers’ compensation issues across the state. He has conducted training for employers regarding safety and risk management policies to reduce the significant exposure from workers’ compensation claims.
Prior to forming Frankl Miller & Webb in 2004, Mr. Miller was a partner at Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore where he was the head of the workers’ compensation practice area.
